All that horsepower and for some reason (I read it along time ago so don't quote me) I think it only does like 75 mph.

Squirt 1 with a little 317hp went 75, it went 55 with a big block before the turbine.
Squirt 2 with the T-58 is a weapon. 100 mph is laughable, the boat is a Eagle river racer, Mark is a scary bright guy. You have NEVER seen anything accelerate like this thing on water. It is very cool.

I know the guy is a "bright" guy, I was just saying that when I read it along time ago that's what I remembered. As it appears I'm wrong wouldn't be the first time :)

I didn't mean any offence by that post.
word is the same boat with a 900hp chev ran 110mph, so speeds a lot higher than that could be expected.

Firewalker is right. This boat is truly incredible. I had the opportunity to go for a ride or rather a blast in this incredible creation of Mark Nye's. By the way Mark is a prince of a guy who is kind and patient when people ask questions and ther are many who do. I once saw a guy almost fall off his Sea-Doo gawking at the aluminum terror. Watch for an upcomming feature on this boat sometime in the newyear on Powerboat Television on Speedvision. Batman should use this in the next movie:eek:

What the hell was that. Does it come with wings? What is the top speed? Where do you get one?

Hey, why don't you tell your friend Mark to try and point that flame thrower down on the Jet and add some steam to the Jet Stream!? I'd like to see one of those Lake Fea's go for a shower then. Ewww that would be cruel :-)

Wicked pic's

I live in the same community as this guy and I see it all the time.
Once while I was at work I saw him putting on a fire show in the harbour and some fool called the fire department lol
Does anyone know what kind of acceleration it has??
It looks like it is pretty quick out of the hole!!

I just joined the forum and noticed this thread right away.
I met Mark thru the net about a year ago and ended up getting a quick ride in Squirt 2 in the fall. It is every bit as crazy as it looks! And you ask about accelleration? it kicks your a$$ let me tell you!
Sadly Lake Ontario was a bit too rough the day we went out and Mark didn't want to beat on the hull. He did punch it a few times and wow! I have a big block jetboat myself and like to think I know what hard g's feel like but Marks boat pulls hard! (then again it could be that I am not at all used to being a passenger!)
Anyhow it was great to meet him, he's a great guy, very friendly and obviously pretty darn smart!
Did you catch him on Junkyard wars?

I am glad someone told me about the forum, for some odd reason I never looked for a boat forum and jetboats aren't that common up here(california style ones anyway) so it will be good to have a place to come for info. I Just joined the Performance Boat Club of Canada and was at my first event this weekend, great bunch of guys but again not many jets(Mark is the only one I know of so far)

For those who are curious I have a Glen-L Rampage hull I built with a berkley pump and a 460 Ford. The motor is 0.040 over, ported, Weiand Stealth intake, Comp Cam goodies, MSN etc etc
I broke a piston 2 weeks ago and just got it back together this past week. Ran it sat and sun to break it in a bit and it seems to run great. Next weekend hopefully I can beat on it a bit.

Hi James! Glad you found the forum. Check out this thread in the General discussion forum....

Cool meeting you last weekend and thanks for the rides!

By the way, the vibration from the motor turned out to be a blown out gasket between the lower plate and the mid section. Good thing it was the last run of the day:eek:
