Need 2-way radios to borrow at the Rumble

Just got a call from Gary, (Instigator), asking me to post this question.

Does anyone have some two-way radios they could bring with them and loan out so race control to talk to the starting barge during the races?

I had it for a few days and now Thumper has it.:eek: :eek: You can probably kiss that one good-by now. ;) ;) ;) Thumper is supposed to have picked me up anothe pair this last weekend. One of em I got pissed at during BTTW and pitched it out the truck window and the other one is supposed to be in the boat but I can't find it anywhere. my guess is it's way in the back in one of the sponsons. NEED REALLY LITTLE KID TO CRAWL IN THERE AND FISH IT OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you cant borrow any they can be bought at radio shack for about $ 40.00. I use mine at the races and they work great for a range of 2 miles.

Office max has some Good Motorola 2 way Radios, 5 mile range on sale for $69.99
They are the gray colored Motorola ones with a base charger.

I will probably be picking up a pair for the Rumble, if our local Office Max still has them in stock.

Last time Best Buy had this sale they sold out the day they went on sale, and I did not get a rain check.

Balzy, I have discovered a way to get stuff out of the sponson, just bring your boat down to my shorestation and I'll get ya all fixed up. :D Oh yeah, make sure ya got some matt and resin. ;)
