What is a Laser outboard? Is this a certain type of Mercury? Does it Bolt on to Merc Midsections?

Are you referring to the Laser XRi motors? They're just Merc's with the non-offshore (airbox instead of air horn) EFI.

Didn't I already post a reply to this same question on another forum? The 1987 Merc LASER 220 XRi was the first EFI outboard. The later 2.4 L 200 XRi motor were the same setup without the odd-looking cowl. They were the saem horsepower despite the different decals.

Look up "XRi" with my user name as the author of the post. I've posted some tricks for these motors to make 'em better.

Yes Pyro .. This was the first thread i started then I looked down and realized I should have posted it in the technical and not the General discussion. I'm goona look at all your other rhreads on Mods for this motor. Thanks.
