Rumble Motor (Merc)

I am down to the wire the v-4 was dropped on nose cone which is now gone. I decided to mount the merc but due to the lack of energy I will probably be boatless. I have tried to figure the electric on my Mercury and I am lost big time. It has besides the wiring harness wires going all over the place. I really wanted to run but I can help others. I am bummed and its not over till the fat lady sings but it looks hopeless. I will hopefully see all there. To sum it up in 7 words "what a drag it is getting old. Rick

U git yo yankee ass out ther and git that merc hung and ready to rumble...I have already loaded a control box, wiring harness, shift cable, and 23" srx prop...not ta mention staykons and extra wire, extra packs, stator(1, 16amp and 1, 40amp)trigger, 6 coils, 2 rectifierz, and anuther starter....I do believe that they iz enuff ov us ta git yo ass in tha water.....Hell, I thank U juss skeered U gunna like that "Black Power", and worried about them ugly words ya gunna have ta eat:eek: ....U BETTER HAVE A BOTE!!!....If U ain't got a bote, U better have 5, 25 yeer old womenz....3, 27yeer old womenz, and 2, teenz, over 18.....Which ever iz easiest....1 bote, or 10 young goodlook'in womenz:D :D :D ...REX:cool:

Rex her is what I got. The battery leads the harness then a single wire goes across the block to a juntion box in middle of engine. Then I got a round wire wiretied with 3 color coded wires that go to what looks like relays or soloidnoids and one wire goes across the engine. What is all these electrical connections and such. Are they necessary or just in this boat set-up. I need to get a lifting eye steering is the same.
Laker I got an old stock fish motor with a stubby fat lower with the words black max. I think its foreign but it sure does sound healty. I got the need for speed or at least see what this black motor is all about. Ive had it for 2 years and did touch it once and ran it twice and winterized it. Put the fuel to it and it fired up and said run me. Im down to the line and physically whipped I still can only lift 30 pounds and have to keep the women down to 200. I will be there and Im gonna try one more time to figure out what the yell Im taking apart and disconnecting. Today I ground down the gearcase for the v-4 and took a gallon of epoxy off. that was the cone that Trex admired, it was dual purpose it did the nose cone thing and also dug clams up on sandbars. Bring the Cabrela or Eska thing or whatever just show up with a boat and we will get it running. AND No sitting out of the drags again this year.. ( I know I finaly got ya to go at the end)

Skip the v-4 is on but I have a good 2.4 but dont have the strength to mount. At least with the v=4 I can beat Laker:D just kidding I would love to see the v-6 on the winder, important thing is that I get to see all. Drive careful everyone. Rick
