My boy Brian is wired for sound and on a mission.
Donna and I left him to go to dinner and buy us both helmets and when we left he had a bare hull with two gauges and a steering hub in the boat, that was it.
When we came back, he had the freagin motor hangin on the boat and was bleeding his new SeaStar Pro Hydraulic steering system!!
He has been in the garage/driveway since 9:00 A.M. this morning and he anint quiting yet and it's midnight here!!
Donna and I both took turns helping him bleed the steering system and he's now final wiring the damn motor!!
He refuises to quit!!
We fed him my microwaved left overs from my dinner for his diinner and Donna is making microwave something to feed him now!!
15 hrs and still going!! Yeah baby!!
Is this **** the Rumble or what??
We (Donna and I) are set to test first thing in the morning.
Brian and I agree that if he keeps up his pace he should be in the water by Sun. A,M.
Awesome drama here in Columbus, how bout any of you all!!

Except my motor was still in a pile the day before hitting the road for the rumble. Its a wonder what you can acomplish under the pressure of a scedule. I'm over here pulling my hair out trying to find all the pieces to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. But did take the time out to paint the bottom of Ricks boat Yesterday, and he's getting excited (although I'm thinking he's loosing his mind; considering putting a Anchor on his boat). I know gonna need a tow this year and ain't gonna be me.

I remember cramming to get a car ready to go to the Car Craft Spring Nationals one year in IL. A buddy of mine and I pulled one of those all nighters and we didn't have anyone to cook for us (20 yrs ago).

About 5am I started wondering where he went, I hadn't seen or heard him in over 10-15 min. I started walking around looking for him only to find him in the back yard spread-eagle in the grass passed out

We made it though :)

Just cleaned up the garage and put all the tools away...

Paul- The Florida doo? Since I've been visiting here in Ohio, my sun-faded Florida hair-doo turned dark on me.
Must be the lack of sun, sand, and surf. or maybe the natural color grew back out :D :D

Here's some pics I took before it got dark out tonight....

Gary had to rebuild his seat mounts.

No, not because the two guys that rode in them last were fatasses, they broke from the freaking torque the FrankenRude produced. He kicked the Rude in the ass when I wasn't ready and......crunch! The seat mount busted and back I went.

No kidding.

GO BRIAN! I feel ya bro, you're doing an awesome job. I'm headed back to the shop right now to get the mota running, then leave at 12 noon for the river to pick up the pontoon/starting barge/official Rumble Bud chicks shuttle ;) Beko21 is coming over to help me, keeping fingers crossed that he gets his motor figure out. Let's just say I now have more than just this/

Hey Gary,

My new Lifeline jacket was delivered earlier this week :) No helmet but since I dont plan on racing its not a big issue. I am tempted to run to Jegs and get one though.

Waiting for a HP thrust washer to try to keep the prop tight on the prop shaft. I plan to stop by West Marine while I'm out and about this afternoon to see if they have a std stepped one just in case. The washer shipped out of Calif last Monday so I dont know why its not here yet.

I want to get it up to Alum once I have it back together to make sure its going to stay tight.

Less than a week. Give me a call later this weekend if you get a chance. What kinda speed you getting now on the Vector?
