Hey Guys:

Here are a few shots that I took at the Gananoque Thousand Islands poker run some years back. The firepower that was there was incredible, it was the first time that I got to see and hear the now defunct Lambo/Mercruser package. What a sound! The guy had three of these in the boat, and it went like snot. Does anyone out there have any info on these setups? I don't think they made very many of them. Anyway, it was a great day. I rode with the Mercury Marine guys in thier Wellcraft Scarab and had a super time. Reggie Fountain was there with his rig, and loved to grandstand, blowing right through the middle of the pack with old number 76. If you got it, flaunt it I guess. His wife Christien was not too hard on the eyes however!! Lucky bastard.

Well it was a fun day, and the event went off without a hitch, except for when the photo helecopter went into the water. Nobody hurt, thank God, but scary to watch. Hope you enjoy the pics, and if anyone remembers any of these boats, please fill in the blanks for me! Here is a picture of those Lambo's.

George

This little boat had a single I/O and just flew. Anyone have any info to share on this one?

I had to work while they got drunk and party. Oh well, there was always the evening and those two girls who..... ahem. I better not go there. God, I wish I was that skinny now, and no grey hair!

Looks like a gold chain wearing inboard egofest. Thanks for the pics. Is that the Thousand Islands that I passed through coming home from Canada (near the border)? It looked really nice there.

"Looks like a gold chain wearing inboard egofest"

HA HA HAAAA! Very nicely put, I LOVE that statment! Yes, that is exactly what it was, although there were some Skaters and Couger cats with Bridgeports in the mix as well. Reggie Fountain was a real ass, in my opinion, rude beyond belief, especially to that little camera girl who asked to take his picture, but that is a whole other story.

They treated me really well however, (probably because I could fix thier boats) and I had a swell time. I met some interesting characters, and made a lot of friends and contacts.

Yes, you are right, it is on the border of Canada and the US, and it is just spectacular there. The boating is awsome, and the townsfolk are second to none, a great spot for a holiday.

Gold chain wearing inboard egofest. I love that!!!! :p

Here's to all of us NONE gold wearing motorheads that are not afraid to get our hands dirty. Cheers guys, you are the ones who get MY respect. :)
