I know OMC can work on Merc (for the most part- may need special washer and nut)

I think Merc has to be drilled for OMC.

The OMC prop will fit on the Merc shaft but the Merc prop will not fit on the OMC unless it has been drilled. Just clearing it up.

After the prop has been drilled do you need a special nut and washer ?

Who drills them with a quick turn around time ?

if your going to send it out just have a new hub put in it for omc

thrust washers etc, depends on the prop.
Some of the Merc hubnbed wheels will not work due to in/out positon of hubs in center of prop.
I just tried a set of 4 blade Hydromotives on my OMCs and the hub would only come within about a 1/2' of gear case before I was down to almost no splines left in hub.
Over hubs are much easier.
Depending on hub material you can drill them your self.
Flip the prop over and come in through the back (thrust washer side) with a 1" hole saw.
Brass drills easy, steel does not! I have done aboout a half dowzen of both and haven't destroyed the hole saw yet. (it's a good one though)
I use a drill press on the steel hubbed wheels.
And yes the OMC's go right on a Merc, again with condieration to hub design as in the case of the above mentioned Hydro's.

Raker and SRX requires thicker thrust washer and thinner nut to work on Merc.
