kid at work bought a ckmate. with 115 merc inline 6, has a bad flat spot when accelerating , sometimes it will die and other times it will take off & pickup rpms, ( flatspot occurs between 1000 & 1700 rpm) after that if it doesnt die it will run straight to full throttle, no problem . rebuilt the pump & new squeeze ball, didnt help. could the enriching valve be faulty letting to much gas to the lower carbs causing a bog orwhat else to look at? boat sat for 2 yrs. motor is approximatley 1980 vintage. also should the screw on top of the enrich valve be closed or partly open? thankx for any help.
