I just would like to say that Balz has out done him self again this year. If anyone can put the sport we love in a good light, he can. The man poured his heart into this event and it paid off big time for the kids and us. Sherrie and I would like to say thanks for a great time.

You did a great job so, I say hats off to ya. And thnks for the steam bath warning but I think it was to late. Thanks to Steve A for a great job to and for trying to pay for my pain away with 12 oz curls. Thanks to T-man for finding me a place to pull or get towed up to. And I hate to say it but thanks to the BLUE Triad for tow survice.
Thanks again for the great time.

Thank you Mike!!!!
Had a great time. AS a relative newcomer, still putting names with faces and boats. Everybody has different requirements and parameters to their boating needs and fun to see how all fit together. Great event promoting performance boating and charity.

As much as I know you guys mean it, you all missed it.....
This one is for the kids and thats why you guys spent so much!!!!
This event DOES NOT HAPPEN without the support of the greatest bunch of boaters i have ever met, all you guys who were there need to give yourselves a hand !!!!!!!
Not only does Baldy drive Janet Planet insane for the three weeks prior, he drives anyone dumb enough to answer their phones also but it's all worth it when it's time to hand over the purse (Ya Baby) Not only that, I'm already looking forward to next year!
Thanks to EVERYONE who attended and the ones who didn't, you missed a great show.
Thanks again to everyone
thumper said dat!!

Friday was with out a doubt the most fun I have had in a long long time.It was just like that James Bond movie with the boats, too cool!!!!!! I made more new friends in one day than I ever have; more than anything else that is what made the day great for me!!!!! I think I would have won that poker hand but didn't get to draw one??????? oh well. I just wish that this wasn't the busiest time of the year for me down on the farm. Anyone know where I could find an STV or a Mirage? Thanks again!!!! Hey Bob, how 'bout that JERK SAUCE???????

already summed it up. Thanks to everyone that attended. Without you guys we wouldn't have the event. Thanks to the 29 people and businsses that donated items and cash for the auctions. Without that we couldn't have come up with the donation for March of Dimes. Oh yea, I haven't let it slip yet but it was a bunch of money. This year we donated.

It was a great event. I was stoked this year when Balzy had to change his date to accomodate the Rumble since it allowed me to attend for the first time.
I had a great time even though my boat had a hole in the bottom. :( We were able to fix it by the end of the weekend and went boating Sunday.
Laker, you could have gone boating too. I think the only thing stopping you was that 6am bedtime. :p
Craig, that jerk sauce is the real deal I was so surprised to find a restaurant that had it. By the way the guy from Waupaca (actually I think he lives in Fremont) that I was telling you about with the jetboat. I ran into him Sunday (not literally though). I have never met the guy (except for over the internet) and we drove up and his buddy said Charles you gotta see this rocket boat. His last name clicked in my head (I couldn't remember it when I was talking to you) and I said Charles Gaulke. He looked at me confused and said yep. I then explained that I have a jetboat and used to frequent the www.realjetboats.com forum and had conversed with him there.
Thanks to Balzy, Steve, and Thumper for organizing the event. It was great to see familiar faces and to meet new faces. Thanks to Randy Pierson for grinding away on my bottom (of the boat that is....seeesh you guys) and thanks to Thumper for adding another layer of mat and resin to finally seal the deal. I floated Sunday finally and didn't sink. Both sponsons drained the same so whatever got in was a rub rail issue (familiar problem which doesn't concern me). :D
Almost forgot, thanks to Nick Kaye for letting me co-pilot his STV Euro when Thumper got sucked into tow duty on the poker run and thanks even more for letting me drive it. Even with the motor buried I got her up to 98mph. I have wide feet and my sandal would barely fit between the floor trim and I must have been hitting the down button without realizing it (good thing I hit that one not the other one  ).
Can't wait for next year and hope to see most everyone at the Rumble.
Are there any of those BTTW photo CD's for sale this year?????
We had to miss the BTTW this year :( My mom from AZ is visiting right now. With all the family stuff going on, we've been to "ZERO" pleasure boating events this year!
The BTTW looked like a BLAST. We're going to make it one of these days!
Let me know how to purchase a CD!

Email John Dorn. He will be putting together this year's BTTW CD, but give him some time. He has over 1000 pictures to select from and Balzy and Gimlet are editing the video footage. John also has CDs from prior event for sale now.

Well, I was unable to make the prop testing and Merc tour day one events, but my buddy Balzy managed to keep his eyes open for an all weather jacket for my wife and a 2x shirt for me at the merchandise sale. Thanks again. Second day though, I was waiting at the Fremont launch for the gang and we all had a blast. Great weather, great people, great assortment of boats and fast water. We made it to all five Poker Run stops and guess who had drawn second best hand. ME! We all got to watch our MPG's and slide shows of the first two days of BTTW on a GIANT, maybe 20 Foot diagonal TV while we drank and ate dinner at the last stop. Thanks John, Steve and Mike.
Saturday's picnic and auction was terriffic and I think the March of Dime's people were stunned when Balzy handed over the check to them. $4,185.00 from 20 boats!! It was the same gal who received the check and cash as last time and she couldn't speak for a moment! That's more than $200 per boat attending. Wow!
This should just go to show everyone on this board what the TRUE POTENTIAL of the upcoming RUMBLE ON THE RIVER can be! Let's get the items ready for the auction now. And all of the Rumble organizers, take a page out of Mike's book of tricks and contact local businesses for donations of merchandise to auction. I can't help but think with the number of boats anticipated, screamandfly.com members biggest attendance event shouldn't hit at least $20-25,000.00! Then our sport will make National Headlines and our efforts will do a tremendous amount to counter the groups who make news everyday and who would ban us from the water completely! I'm searching my basement tonight and the garage tomorrow for "STUFF" to auction off. How about you?
Thanks for your leadership Mike!
