The Rumble on the River Poker run will be held on Fri. Aug. 8th

Sign up will be anytime prior to the drivers meeting just look me up. (the big fat guy with the little yellow stream)

Drivers meeting will be at 2:30 at the gazebo.
everyone needs to attend. Rules, course layout and some things you need to know about the river will be discussed.

Poker Run will start around 3:00

Entry fee will be $20 per hand (you can have as many hands as you want to purchase in 1 boat)
$10 of every hand will go to the Make a Wish Foundation.
the other $10 will be paid back to 1st & 2nd place hands.

When you sign up you need to let us know what speed you want to cruise at depending on the amount of boats we may start flights of boats in 5min incriments (fastest cruise speed 1st slowest last) this will make it safer and less conjested at the card stops. If you and some of your friends want to cruise together make sure you put down the same cruise speed.

All card hands will be opened by a Rumble Offical at the pot luck Friday night.

The last card stop will be at a beach on the river for some socializing, when we get to the beech we will wait on all the boats to arrive and have a nice cruise back (all together behind a pace boat)

So come on guys get your Rumble arrival times in order we should have great water.
Its a chance to give a little more to the MAW kids, have a chance at wining some money and most of all HAVE A GREAT TIME WITH ALL OUR OLD & NEW HOT BOATING BROTHERS

Thanks Rob

See Ya All in 2 weeks

Count me in. I was sort of hoping it would be Fri.Got a full tank of fuel to burn out before the drags on saturday. That and the water conditions will be a lot better for a long ride on a weekday.I will be cruising along slowly at 30 to 50.
See ya there,
Ed

We're in! Had to wait until we got the Baja wet before we could say! We'll most likely be in the slower group but would love to be involved. Thanks! Neat idea!

Rob,

Thanks for the idea I think it sounds like a lot of fun. You can count me and the wife in. What speed categories are you gonna have? I think 60mph would be a nice cruising speed for us.

See ya at the Rumble, should be there midday Thursday.

I think he mentioned something around 20-25 miles at some point but I could be wrong.

The # of flights we have will depend on the # of total boats, just want to keep things safe and not all congested at the card stops.

Tony
We are figureing on some where between 20 & 30 miles, will know more when I get there and talk to Speedracer (he's the one who knows the river)

See ya there Rob

I think it's either 9 or 12 (can't remember which) from the park to the beach.
Is your idea to have all stops on the way to the beach??
I know I think we all agreed that having the last stop at the beach would be neat to let every one swim and carry on a bit before heading back to the park.
Your call brother but I see the postive of the shorter route being good for the smaller boats (which most people have) and the bigger boats wanting to run further??
I am going to call you shortly to talk about trim.
See Yah!

I was planning on going both ways, that way everybody would get to make a pass by the Rumble site for any spectators.
I also thought it would be cool to come back from the beach behind a pace boat in 1 group ( 40mph or so slow cruise) this would be a great chance for a photo op

You're on it brother!!
Was thinking similar.
Madison Indiana is about 10 -12 miles opositte direction but I know a lot of guys are running smaller tanks in the little boats.
Buttttttttttt, don't take much to bring a second bigger tank or second small one for back up.
We used to switch tanks all the time when we ran marathons.

Hey Gary, is that 10-12 miles each way? I only have a 18 gal. tank. I have'nt made any runs that long and Im not sure what kind of distance I can get on a tank. If so are there any marinas along the way, just in case? Thanks, Brad

I don,t think we will go the full amount towards Madison,I want to keep it under 30 miles.
Remember you will be coming back by the Rumble site, just leave a couple of gas cans setting on the dock (I am sure somebody will be there to watch them) and when you come by just pull up to the dock and top off. You should be able to make 30 miles on 18 gal. though

Thanks Rob, the gas can idea is a good one. But I bet your right on the 18 gals. lasting. Im runnin a 2.0 on my ol' Baja and its not like we are running WOT, it cruises pretty good at 45-50. See ya down there, I will be there late wed. night, Brad
