Are these lower units 1.87:1 or 2:1?

A 1988 175 hp and a 1987 200 hp..... iknow how to check them by counting the revolutions.but they are attached to motors.....and i dont know the guy.id rather just buy them and not have to check.the motors both have bad powerheads and are cheap.thanks..Mike

and the 200 has always been 1.87, at least from 1987 until now...

I have one of each....88 Merc 175 and an 88 Merc 200. Both are 1.87s....if they haven't been changed they're probably 1.87
