I would like to install the hoses that go between the motor and the splashwell on my Vector. I have a 1978 1750 Merc.
Can this be done with the stock cowling? If so how do the hoses connect to the cowl? Or do I have to have an Alien
style cowl and is this adaptable to my motor?

You can get all the stuff you need from REX Marine...
You use the same Hose adaptor fittings on both ends of the hose... You can either screw the adaptor to the outside of the cowl or grind your cowl a little to fit the round hose adaptor and then slip it in from the inside.. Email me and I'll send you a pic... if you need it...

nelsoncat, Send me your E-Mail address and I will send you a parts list and some pics. I bought everything needed to rig up the hoses from Home Depot for less than $20.00. I think the boat shops are going to charge around $75.00.
