Suntan oil on boat

Has any one used suntan oil on a boat? It really makes the boat shine gives it the wet look for a while. My ? is will it hurt it? It does have UV proction in the oil SPF 10.

When I was a kid I sold some junk cars....used to wipe the car down with wd40 oil for a shine:eek: Just washes off after a while. Only paint stays on for long. Your only worry would be getting the stuff in the water where you boat, or maybe making it slippery when wet and hard to step on if you needed to.
