My bride has asked me to come on board with her and manage her John Deere Service department, Its been about 15 years since I worked in the repair buisiness. what are all you guys using for service management software.

Last last guy she had running the show did it all long hand, including the inventory control - it is kinda a mess right now.

I'd like parts / inventory control along with work order / customer history ect....

It does not have to tie into her accounting system as long as it will print detailed reports for manual entry into her system.

There must of been some cool programs wrtitten in the last 12 years - so what are ya all using.

any imput is appreciated

Thanks
Gary

QuickBooks is a commonly available program that I have used. Also used a propriatary program.
You might check with John deere they may have a program .

HEY SPREADEAGLE...I don't know about the program(s) you're looking for, BUT...I noticed your screen name...Are you by any chance an "over-the-hill" freestyle snow skier...A spread-eagle is a type of jump move that was VERY popular in the 1980's?!?!?!...I am a "has-been" ski racer from that era & am curious about your screen name...Boats & snow skiing...That pretty much covers all the seasons...Just bein' the NOZY BASTID that I am...lol... :D
