I am running a pair of Merc 2.5 EFI Racing Offshores and was wondering what brand Fuel Water Separator many of you run?
I remember reading Aqua Power's instructions saying it was not suited for an EFI application even though I ran it for years on my 2.4 EFI on a Laser.
One old trick was to use a Mark IV auto filter inside the cowl.

I run the Mercury water seperator after fuel pump, plus a good in-line before fuel pump!
My two cents!
Merc/Racor Water Separating fuel filter between the Tank and the Fuel Pump. K & N 10-micron hi-flow filter between the Pump and the Fuel Rail.

I run the same K&N as MTCM has. Got it a JEGS but they don't carry it anymore. Mine is much shinnier though....the swabbie must be slackin on the PM:D

Do those K&Ns have replacable elements? Where do you get them if not at Jegs?

By the time it goes bad I'll be ready for a new unit. They are still out there...I'm just not sure where.

Didn't realize the filter media was stainless, just thought that thing was just too pretty to throw away like the kinsers (sp). However, that being said, do you ever back-blow them out to remove the contaminates?

I've never seen anbything in my filter. I think the fuel water dealy takes care of everything. The stainless screen comes right out and you can soak it in solvednt. The body of the unit unthreads so you can pull it all apart. JEGS may still ahve it but you have to call them sometimes and have them dig up the part numbers.

I'll have you know that the ship was in "Overhaul" when that picture was taken. Now you know how ships get dirty during Overhaul Periods. As for PMs...................I was doing PMs in submarines at 400 feet when you was still sh_ttin' yellow....:D No slack there.

A: He becomes a Marine.
You can get them filters from Summit Racing. You can get the replaceable element there too, or from K & N direct.

I just picked up 2 Merc filters last night. I'll also look into the other inline.
