I know many of you Texans are up in Mt Pleasant this weekend watching the drag races.... but if any of you are going to be in the area of Houston this weekend, check out the HOTT racing going on at The Baytown Boatclub in Highlands Texas. You can find the information at http://www.hottracing.com.
For those of you who know Brad, he's down there helping with the races like old times. Stop in and say "hi".
Have a great weekend! ...... :D

Also --- two brand new Forumula Two (sst120) drivers will be starting their rookie F2 season at Highlands; cheer on Gordie Miller in the "Emerald Boats" entry as well as Sean Torrente, the former SST45 champion from Florida. The fastest test time favorite for today's F2 event is Texan Michael Schubert ---

The incredible sst45's race today -- these are miniature versions of the Formula One tunnels. Also, the Tri-Hull Claimers are there --- Just your basic Tri-hull boats with a roll cage for protection (these guys are WILD!)--- I'm told over 14 of them registered to run today. Can't wait to hear the report on this one! The winner can be "Claimed". For pictures of this class, see http://64.216.70.133/

Feel free to add any comments or encouragement at the message board at http://www.hottracing.com

(can you tell how bad I want to be there??) LOL...:D

BK the racing was great. There were a lot of legends there. Tim Seebold took a Tri-hull for a ride saturday,he said it was fun but nuts.Don't exspect to see him driving one anyime soon. Jason campbell was there Saturday testing his new F-1 boat. Sunday I ran into Bill Holland of EZ loader Champ boat fame. Louis Collins was there with Brad he was dragging the twin engine Allison behind his truck. except for a short shower early Sunday it was a great day for boat racing. Greg

Glad you had a great time Greg. I heard everyone had a great time -- even the guy who burned up 3 motors for a DNF, and had to head all the way back home to Seattle! He says he STILL had fun!

There's another one next month in Livingston Texas.

Wish I could have been there in person. And I'd really love to see 'dads' new toy. Bet that was cool looking. I guess he didn't take it out for a spin?

I was talking to Louis about that Allison and some other boats he had and some old outboards that I have collected and I completely forgot about telling him I have a boat here that may be very special to him. I have the Lazer he set the JP world record in. I think the record was 86 mph with a in-line six on it. We had it all fixed up and looking good up til the steering cable mount pulled through the glass and it made a wrong turn. We fished it out of the river and have started fixing it. there is still some glass work that needs to be done but it will have to wait til winter. I have some pictures if he would like to see how it came out I can scan them and send them if you like. I also have one of Brads Mirage ModVP boats and don't care what anybody say's I think it's the finest riding and handling boat that there is. Greg
