Good-bye South Florida! I've had a lifetime of being swamped by Sea Ray's, feeling like a welfare recipient next to Mega-Yachts, and spending more time chasing corrosion than watching the needle on my fun-meter hit the triple digit mark.

I've been to Lake Lanier in GA, Lake Norman in NC and Smith Mountain Lake in VA. I'd like to hear from you. What's the Coolest Lake for Hot Boats and why? If you have pictures... post 'em!

Thanks! :)

Barefoot Bobs' own semi-private lake down in Gods' County!! Shown here being torn-up by yours truly... My little Mirage will now be the "slow" boat on this lake due to Bob's recent GPI rigged - Allison acquisition! :D

Oh yeah! Lake Winni in N.H. I was up there for "Woody Weekend" a few years ago and that's the reason I'm ready to move to a lake in the country!!!!!!! An old friend has a house on Rattlesnake Island, right smack in the middle of Lake Winni (never could spell that name!) It's got to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world... but those old wooden boats are just too slow! :o

Winnipesaukee looks like a real nice place ;) I think Jason likes my lake because we dont have to worry about getting hasled by anyone. Its not very pretty at all, but its water and the people are very friendly:)

That rally was this year, and we had about 70 boats on the sand bar and I remember seeing 3 OMC's This is merc country in our area, and we have some real fast boats, Just never seen a OMC that would come and run with the merc guys that could last, I have nothing against them, just not many of them around here except on a bass boat or cuddy.

as for lakes, lake okeechobee is pretty awesome. wide f'n open with 6 ft of sandy bottom for miles. catch the open lake when there is no wind, and you can put your foot in the floor untill you run out of gas. if its windy the rim canal goes around a good part of the lake, and if your up for some offshore style go about 1/4 mile out and beat yourself stupid. down south of clewiston there are some nice sandy spots to hang out at, being about 5 mins away from the marinas and the tiki bar, makes beer runs quick, and you don't even have to leave your boat.

Lake Lanier is alright sometimes but there are a lot of big boats out there. If there wasn't so many crusiers it would be a lot better. Its gotten to the point that unless you have 38' boat you get the sh*# beat out of you.
