Having some problems with this 2.4 on My Mirage Ski Racer. Heres the scenario. The motor is a 1987 2.4 EFI Formula (Not a Bridgeport). I have a Bosch 56 lb Fuel Pump with a 39 lb regulator. The original ECU was the very first Analog ECU with a Down Snout air Plenum, Mechanical TPI set up. I switched over to a Centerhorn Intake with an A7 Box with Mechanical TPI. Hooked it up to the Mercury Diagnostic Terminal and everything checked out fine. Went to the River and the low end was great, but as soon as it hit 6000 RPM it would just blubber real bad until i let out of it then it would be fine. Disconnected the TPI (which runs it in full rich mode) and it would just blubber a little on the bottom end , clear out at about 3500 rpm then be fine. So i thought it might be a problem with the ecu or TPI. A friend loaned me an a-27 box with the Vacuum TPI from an early model 260. come out real strong then at about 6000 blubber. Disconnect the TPI (again in full rich mode) and it would blubber a little on the bottom end, then clean out to about 8200 RPM then it would have a very slight miss, like it wasnet getting enough fuel. Whats your thoughts on this? I have tried a Different Fuel pump, checked all the fittings on the plenum to make sure no cloggs... Any help would be greatly appreciated....
