BTTW Schedule for Thursday 7/24/03 Confirmed with MERC RACING !!!!!!!!!

For those of you that are staying at the Best Western in Chilton. We will meet Wednesday afternoon/evening for the annual "Welcome to the Event" get together. Bring your coolers !!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Rick Mackie, Dennis Cavanaugh, and John with Norscott (the people that market all the cool Merc apparel we buy). We have set up the prop testing for Thursday morning at Rainbow Park at 10:00. (the same place we always do it) Dennis will be giving us a prop seminar in the pavilion there also !!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that ???????? :D :D :D

We will have lunch across the river at Fortello's and then head to Mercury Racing for the plant tour at 2:00. They will have all the merchandise we can possibly buy set up on display for us in the auditorium.

Thursday evening we will have the annual dinner and the March of Dimes charity auction at Fisherman’s Cove. Rick said he had such a good time last year that he will drag a bunch of the other Merc guys along this year. Again, how cool is that ????????:D :D :D

Friday we will hit the water at 11:00 in Fremont for the poker run/river tour. We will have dinner at the last stop (Slipknot, where we had lunch last year.

Saturday is open dependent on weather. We hope to boat on the big pond (Lake Winnebago) in the morning and in the afternoon/evening, we will be heading to my house for the second half of the charity auction and a big Fryout. We will have the March of Dimes kids there along with the newspaper for pictures and coverage of the event. We want some good publicity for all this work right?

Sunday will be go-home day for most but anyone that wants to go boating or get that last bit of partying in is welcome to hang around.

So there it is. Don’t miss the good time and remember, it’s all for the kids !!!!!!!!!!!

New BTTW rule. If any stops aren't open on the poker run Thumper buys the round at the next stop. I know if Thumper reads this he will make sure they are all closed so he won't end up having to buy anywhere. :D

onions, chives, peppers, sausage, beer, whatever ya want in it. Things are coming together well. Had a bud from Merc High Perf over tonight and we are looking into having the Merc Safety pontoon on the water during prop testing. This thing is cool. It has a drop down area in the front to pick up an injured driver and hoists them abord. Best pat id it has twin (I think) 150's on it. We for sure have a registered diver/EMT on site just for the safety aspect. Work on your schedule. You would have a blast. Chanced are pretty (well almost for certain, ok for sure) we will have to party one night at my buddys bar that you have been at already. Besides, the Amigos promise not to put aby Mercury Racing decals on your tow rig this time !!!!!!!!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hey Pal!,
Rainbow park is in Oshkosh. Take hwy 21 East from 41.
About 1.2 miles you will see a stoplight with a bridge going over the river, you need to turn left the block before the lights and circle around to the launch area. Does that make sense?
Well anyway, if you're on 21 and you go over the river heading east, you went too far! The upside is when you go over the bridge you'll get to see exactly where you need to be........

I think I know the place now that you describe it. I hope it rains between now and then; running these 24 irrigators by myself is getting old and i've only been at it 5 days. I still need to ajust the trailer bunks and pre test everything before thurs.

What landing and what time for sure in Fremont Friday???? Two weeks of sleep depravation and a irrigation melt down kept me from coming to the one thing I've been looking forward to all year(prop testing) hopefully tomorrow will come true!!!!!
