Hello,
I have a 21-foot cat powered by a 2003 Mercury 250 Optimax Gold Block. For reference, the hull is similar to a Skater but heavier. The boat was built by Armstrong (no longer in business). I’m only turning about 4,800 RPM at 60 mph using a Bravo 1 30P. I should be closer to 6,000 RPM, so I’m thinking a Bravo I 26P or 27P may be a better fit. What propeller would you recommend? Also, are there any prop shops in the Florida Keys that allow test or demo props?
Thanks in advance.

30 Pitch seems like a lot of prop for that size boat with a single 250. As a general rule about 150 RPM per inch of pitch change. So if you are at 4800 RPM with a 30P now and you went to a 24P you should add 900 RPM and go to 5700RPM. Theoretically

Try a 26 Pro-ET and see what that does for you. They usually stay hooked up really well with a 3L case. I have run tons of them over the years.
