Mercury 1993 one piece cowling ?

Does a 1993 Mercury 135 HP V-6 motor have a removable front face plate on it's one piece cowling. thanks a bunch. Carter Powell

It is a separate piece but, removing it does not leave an opening.

Would adding more air to a stock 135 HP V-6 help power and fuel economy. This motor lives at 3400 feet of altitude. Runs great but sometimes he goes to sea level and I would not want my friend to have issues at sea level. If adding more air to the cowling what would be the best way. Thanks, Carter

Trading up to EFI would probably he the best bang-for-the-buck. Otherwise he needs to jet down for more power and better economy at 3,400' and remember to switch back for sea level.
