Hello,
Looking for suggestions for a friend on repair of a driveshaft on his 2.5 sportmaster. It's worn/corroded at the pump base. Can these be welded and resurfaced? If so, where would be a good place to send it to? Are there sleeves available and are they reliable? He's trying to decide whether to repair purchase a new one which we all know is a ridiculous price from Mercury. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Speedi-Sleeve # 99087 has worked great for me. And you can use the standard seal.

Learned something new today. Thank you! This may come in handy for torn up vertical shafts/motorcycle main shafts on transmissions!
