Im looking to test run this motor on an engine stand. Do I need to hook up the harness and controls or can I just jump the starter without hooking the harness to the motor? Will it have spark without the harness? Thanks! Ray

Yes, it will have spark and will run. Now turning it off is something you should be prepared for. You kill it by grounding the black/yellow wire. You can find it on the switch boxes or on the kill switch module next to rectifier.
