545282545283545284CAN any one tell me what gear set will work in this housing I do have a set of gears and forward gear will fit it but haven't started building it and its a old cam shift housing in good shape it only had a forward race in it when I got it I can not find anything on it

That might be an old preload pin case. Does it have threads for a driveshaft nut? If it does not have threads I might have a set of guts for it.

I don't have anything from it but the forward gear race I just have the housing I have three sets of gears i have only one that the forward gear will go n the house and spin on the race that's n it now the other two sets of gears is to big gear hits housing

Does the case have threads where the driveshaft goes in through the top under the water pump?

Gears are too big? What is the diameter of the case? 4 1/4" or 4 3/4"?

I think you have a preload pin case. I have 2. 1 has a number that's close. The other just says Mercury Marine. The gears in them are cut in the opposite direction then a standard case. Hard to find

I may have some gears I do have a set of gears and that are cut backwards and a drive shaft with a pin n the top of it and prop shaft so I may have what I need What does the drive shaft use for bearing's this one has nothing in the drive shaft hole no race are anything and can u still buy the parts I need to make it work what year and motor HP did it come on

I could sell you all the guts from mine. $100 plus shipping. The carrier threads stripped out of the case. It's got about 10 hours since I rebuilt it. I would pull everything out of the case to ship it.
