How much difference do they make? The ones I’ve seen online only look about 1/8” thick. Do they send longer screws with them? Does shaving the front half do the same thing only better? How much can be cut before the reeds hit the front half?

They r for bottom end and mid range, as we know anything thats helps bottom end takes away from top end. Yes they send longer bolts, and if u dont like em, return to stock. Shave the front. Ur stuck

Dont think I can agree on this...We have never seen a top end loss,Stock bolts are long enough,You can only cut the front of a 2.0-2.4-2.5 about 060 before cutting into the bleed line valves, our stuffers for 5 petal cages are 063 thick(same improvement as milling),stuffers for the 4 petal cages are .130 thick, twice the gain as milling.
Also, using the stuffers makes no change to the external dementions of the motor,so all linkages are unaffected.

I am going to agree with Chris on this. Unlike most mods, where a gain here is a subtraction from there, reed stuffers are an accross the board gain. It's like boosting compression. Reed stuffers boosts secondary compression. They reduce crankcase volume. Gives a little extra boost to push the air/fuel mixture into the combustion chamber.

do 4 petal stuffers come with longer screws? The screws I took out were barely long enough with metal reeds.
is there a gasket between stuffer and cage?

The standard OEM screws are long enough, and there is no gasket between the reed block and stuffer,Chris

I use CCM in all my 4 petal 2.5s and they perform great. No losses anywhere
