I have a 2000s 200 2.5L block so its the tall deck for oring heads. Matching front half, no welds ever or any other major damage. This motor was at Outback Outboards to get drag port sleeves installed and some other tricks to make hp...well that didn't up happening before he passed away so I was able to get it back in pretty much the same shape I sent it to him. The only modification Mike got around to doing to this block is some rod slot work, and that work he did evenly to all six rod slots. Not sure if he was intending to do more cutting, or if that is the way he was going to leave it. I don't really need this motor, so I am going to pass it off to someone else who is looking to build a mean steel motor. Depending on what other mods you do to it you could either leave the rod slots the way they are, or cut them more. I tried to take pics of the modification but its much easier to see by eye than through the camera. The sleeves themselves are not bad, but I would not run them without boring them oversize. They all have staining like from sitting in a damp environment, this may clean up with a hone but not sure. #2 cylinder appears to have ingested some foreign object that got trapped in the transfer port and broke a chunk away from the sleeve. So it would need one sleeve for sure and a hone job of the other 5. I was just gonna have all 6 new sleeves dropped in cause I wanted to spin it to the moon...but I have too much stuff. If someone wanted it for a fishing motor you could probably just run it as it is, but I don't know how that little chunk missing would affect fuel transfer into #2. picture #7 shows this piece missing.
