300X won’t idle in gear

I have twin 03 300X (stock) motors. Both idle around 650 in neutral. Once put into gear one does fine but the other will lose rpm and stall. Can anyone educate me on things I can do to try & fix this? I know the mercury information I have found shows idle to be 800 so I could up that a bit but would prefer not to.

Your twin 300 mercury 300x outboard is idling at 650 RPM in naturally is slightly below ideal speed of 800 RPM per mercury specification.
