i Have a 2 piece mid running solid mounts. No water leaks out the front but when I pulled the power head I see water has accumulated in the area where the nuts are. Could I drill 2 holes+(3/16?)(one per side) to allow it to drain ? It would from above the water pump. More worried about winter storage and it freezing.

Theoretically, yes. But there shouldn't be water there. At least not much. The mounts themselves are not sealed from water coming in the front by the tiller arms, but it all should fit so tight that no water gets in there. I've seen people silicone that area though to keep water in/out where the tiller arm meets the mounts. two little holes like the size of the holes in the back lower part of the driveshaft housing would not hurt anything though.

That is what I was thinking. Thx
