What Weight Strand Mat?

I'm putting a new plywood floor in older boat. What weight strand mat should I use to cover the floor?

I’d use 1708. It’s basically the same end weight because it takes roughly the same amount of resin as 1.5oz csm and it’s substantially stronger. If there are a lot of corners and contours then it’s harder to lay because you will need some thickened resin to filet the corners where csm you can probably just work it in with a finned roller. It really depends if you need strength out of it or just appearance. 1.5oz csm would be my suggestion if your going to use chop
