Many years ago on here there was another poster besides myself that knew about the few HST pickleforks they made - not the V-Wing but a full interior / back seat HST without a pointed bow

This post might have even been when the forum was black background with yellow text basic BBS in the 90s

Anybody know anything? Pics? I know they exist cause I almost bought one new rigged with a 3.4

Thanks

Are you talking about the AE-21?

The AE21 was sort of an HST bottom with a Vking ish deck. Are you thinking of this boat? I found it at https://hydrostream.com/pages/hydrostream-v-wing

That is the V-Wing I thought - no this boat I am speaking of was an HST, full interior, seats, walk around room, deck etc., with 2 points up front

Hopefully someone recalls

Oh man the old forums. I'm really curious now so I'm going to look for info on that. I am not sure, but I think I may have heard about that HST.

Hey how's it goin Greg - yes the old forum was a great resource as this one is - before that was only the AOL forums and before that nothing as there was basically nothing aside from USENET and before that not really an internet

I can remember asking for info on my STV LTV back then and no one on the net was even familiar with that boats existence, only the pickleforks

The HST I saw was out of Missouri, was mainly white with the red orange black brown stripes typical of then, had a 3.4 on it and was basically brand new - there had to be more than one because they guy had other ads / literature. Something was up with him because everything he had was for sale - that new boat, a new BMW, his house etc.

I almost bought it but my friend talked me out of it due to the problematic engine and the white elephant unicorn hull which is probably a very good thing in the long run because I got one of the first serial numbered STVs he built that lasted me 20+ years of hard service with its Kevlar / Vinyl Ester hull and sold it for a darn good amount after that.

My friend asked me about that HST a few days ago - he remembered it as I did and I got curious again

In the previous forum there were images comming by that users posted. I once saw a hst like you described. Had pickles but i believe other mods too. I remember i tried to look for the picture in tthe past and save it but could not retrieve it. That one looked rough though.

We need to see the pictures of the three jackplates stacked together with a V6 Evinrude again. Talk about old photos.
I had Jeff Yammer's Vking with Yamaha as my screen saver for years.

The problem (or a problem) is that so many of the pictures posted to S&F were actually hosted on some "free" image hosting site... and most of those went under or started charging $$ and people let their accounts expire

You can view archived pages from S&F going back to the 1990's... but the images aren't archived - just links to where the images used to be hosted. :nonod:

That was an experimental boat that Howard built, it’s called V wing

This was a full interior 2 front seat / back seat boat with lots of walk around room - not the single seat V-Wing.

I hope someone sees this that has a picture
