I sold my checkmate on ebay a few months ago. A guy from NJ bought it. Went off without a hitch.

I'd never buy from E Bay again ! Have been taken twice the first being this 2000 sprint 296 pro bass boat said to be in great shape for $12,500 with in first hour powerhead blew $4,500 fix then 1 tank of gas later the lower unit went(i'm now looking for 1) All in all i have more into the boat than bought new...Add the gas $ from Michigan to Georgia to pick it up and taxs on the $12,500 i could have had this 96 Allison on here for $19,000...........All i'm saying is be prepared to get burned...

I've sold a car, now I'm selling a boat.
Try to disclose as much as I can about it, Always had satisified buyers. Check out my boat on ebay if you want. Detailed as much as I could.

I guess as with any sale/purchase, they can be great, or they can really suck!

What kind of buyer rating can you get at a dealer, or private buyer purchase locally???

Buying on ebay is no different than buying anything used. Let the buyer beware. It just opens up the market to the entire US or the world (depending on what your selling).

I think most people are up front. I think the feedback and ratings help too.

I've spent over $100k on ( Jeeps,Bikes,Speakers,Guitars) ebay items over the last 2 years. I've had GREAT LUCK !! I've also sold quite a few items with the same results. My advice would be , do your homework on the item & the seller/buyer. It's worked for me !! Good luck & be careful ! Scott :D

I have sold items from 5 bucks to 9.000 dollars and have had good luck so far. I have had almost 240 transactions and have had one bad expirence where a guy by the name Christopher Warren in North Charleston South Carolina took my money and never sent the item I bought, If I catch him he wont be happy. It was only a 40.00 dollar item but its the idea of stealing that pisses me off. I got him booted from ebay and red flagged. Other than that its awesome, I have saved thousands on items and had made thousands on old items & Junk aroud the house by selling. Give it a try you will be hooked!!
