Scorpion made Challenger 21 knock offs in Ontario a long time ago. WavetoWave has an interesting article about one that has been restored and modified a bit.
The pad is still narrow to my eyes (my SS2000 is my reference boat), but it clearly works as is

Am I to understand there is a relationship that Tuff started with this hull design and improved the hull and construction/ build techniques to what we now see from Tuff on the 21

Yes, the first Tuff 21 was a modified Challenger design. It’s out of production now, and has been replaced by the Tuff 20
Just to confuse things, the Tuff 20 is 21’10” , and the 21 was 20’9”.
I think the 21 is wider

Good looking boat. I expect this Justin could achieve most anything he set out to do. One of a kind, DIYs, are indeed special.
Thanks for the link.

we've come a long way in outboard and hull performance and kudos given to this build, very nice!
back in the day
Killer 235's ,quickies 105
no name 235's, standard drive 86
uncle guthrie , pair mod vp's on premium pump fuel 95
little brown slug ,single 2.4 offshore 77 converted from i/o
all were a handfull to drive!
I remember 3 scorpions with v8's and another handfull of twin rigs, my own included and nobody even close to threatening the century mark!

That is super impressive! Who knows it might have more in it too!
Yeah, if you are going to make it that perfect,
It's easy to make a mold. The hard part is done; just wax her well and spray gelcoat.
It reminds me of a Velocity...
Except they have a BIG 12INCH.
