Whatever happened to these guys?
Heaps of hype about 7-8 years ago about their modular blocks and heads, but seems to have died a natural death. Did anything ever eventuate?

The motors have been put on hold while Matthew pursues another innovation in another field of endeavor.

Matthew had a really bad accident testing his Allison several years ago. After extensive surgeries and rehab he is doing great, but tragically lost a leg. You would never know it unless you saw his prosthesis. He could outrun me easily I believe. The accident ended his racing but in no way diminished his drive and genius at mechanical design and execution.
I am privileged to know him as a friend. He inspires me to do more, and do them more perfectly.
I saw Matthew blow over his DR20 racing another DR20, Jimmy Clouser in Plymouth NC
I was at the finish line as his bow raised, and he wouldn't back down, a lot of blowovers happen quickly, this one was slow-motion
In my mind, he had time to save it, but the bow got higher till pop, I believe that was the first Carbon Fiber DR20, Black Magic
He had his safety belts on so he was just sore, I heard he was not strapped in while driving the test tunnel boat that day with the CTR
His good friend Dixon, the Peanut farmer * who invested in the CTR project, was the driver for the record-breaking STV run, I believe 151mph; at dinner one evening, Matthew said he had no care for high-speed record attempts, that the sub 120mph drag racing was fast enough. One little mistake, not buckling up changed everything.

Dixon lives two miles from me, at his beautiful landing on the Savannah River. Caldwell often comes to visit Dixon. He is quite an interesting fellow to be around. I did not know him during his drag racing days but Dixon says he was absolutely one of his toughest competitors to beat.
151.5, Cuda. That was an upstream pass, against the current. He said it handled much better that day going upstream, at a long straight stretch called Stockton Straight. Speed verified with two GPS devices.
