re-rigged my ride with a 2.5, single piston trim clamp; hooked my existing lines[same remote pump] which works fine, but motor wont trim. i cracked the bottom line, got some air out, added fluid, still no go. i manually lifted the engine up, more fluid almost a qt. no leaks pump runs strong motor wont move? can there be an air pocket trapped in the lines? thought that system was self bleeding. worked with my 150 single piston fine. thks, Art

Hey Art, tap on the solenoids on front of motor. I recall one of them acting up once or twice.

Kurt, the new 15 mid is old style, solenoids are with remote pump/motor in boat, your mid/clamp section im not using. if i run wires i could use the rocker switch located on the side of pan. my hyd hoses run from boat. my l/u shaft has been shortened, im ready, except for trim problem. the only motor i have now, with p/t working is the supermag!

3 ram systems self bleed. In part there is no way to bleed it. A one ram system is easy to bleed. It is always better to push the air out of cylinder at the cylinder rather then pushing air and foam from opposite cycle back into hoses and pump. Once you foam the fluid all you can do is let it sit for a period of time.

On all of the single ram units I have ever worked on just filling the reservoir and working the trim up and down a few times took care of the line bleeding. It has always worked for me.

Art, does the pump run and not move the engine or are you getting no response from the pump? Meant to say relays in front of engine. One or the other acted up a couple times. Tapped on it and it worked. One is up and one is down I believe.

Is the manual release valve in the mid closed?
