I have a 260 cover I bought with no skirt. I sourced a skirt off S&F that lines up perfectly well so I have the right skirt but there is no hardware to attach the thing. I was tempted to bolt the skirt to the pan and install them both together then I did a little searching and found a thread for an alien cowl showing rubber bushings with thread inserts is the way they mount. Is that the same method the skirts on the older style 260 cover mount with? Is the rubber nut pn 849000 the same for both cowls or is there something different for the 260 versions?

Anyone mount on of these in a home brew method and had any troubles?

That’s what it looks like to me too but for whatever reason there are no holes in the pan at all. Being my first cowl of this type I wasn’t sure if the rubber was nec to stop excessive vibration. Anyways looks to be straight forward enough. Thanks for the info
