I installed the shift crank on the wrong side of my sporty.. will it hurt it I ran it yesterday .. just made my shift have togo in reverse instead of forwards ran 90+ and worked fine .. looking for a answer before I tear it back down and swap it

The shift crank can be rotated 180 degrees in the lower it doesn't hurt it .. if running a Yamaha with mercury controls and sportmaster this is how most them make there shift the correct way is rotating the shift crank
