Mercury 2.5 switchbox connections

Hello,

Replacing the switchboxes on my promax and I'm not certain which set of wires goes where...

- 1 set from stator with yellow wrap and 1 set from stator without
- 1 set from trigger with yellow wrap and 1 set from trigger without
- 1 set each for left and right bank of coils

So I assume the yellow wrapped set from stator and trigger should be on the same switchbox, but I didn't find anything in the manual stating that...Is this correct? And if so, which set of coils should the switchbox be connected to based on the yellow wrap?

Yellow with yellow to port coils.Correct,,,yellow outside switch box,,,everything else color coded,,,do not forget the grounds on bottom of switch box,,,both of them

Thank you for the reply. Is this listed somewhere in a manual? I found another post on here from 2023 stating yellow sleeve should be feeding the even bank of cylinders…

This is just for general info,there are 3 different switch box part numbers.One for fishing motors,one for pro max 200,, 225 and one for the original 2.4 bridge port 240,2.5 260 and 300 drag.The hipo pac is an a14 from merc,,The pacs are different because of the RPM load and that affects the timing on high RPM motors..Put merc pacs on if you can afford them,,,there is difference ,for general use some of the after market stuff is OK, but for all out performance...A14

No problem. Seemed easier to check my garage. Didn't look at the manual, it should be in there. Maybe the wiring diagram?
