Need your help guys.
Went and pissed off the little woman and she was the puter wiz in the neighborhood!!!
I have 30 or 40 good digital pictures in my computer and about 15 or 20 35mm's from the Rumble that I can run through my scanner (I think).
Problem is, as you all can probably tell-------I'm puter challenged.
What should I do with these??
In the mean time either the free time expired on the Rumble website orrrrrrrrrrrr, somebody deleted it???
Anyhow, wanted to do a nice follow up story on the Rumble and the many nice people that were there and thank the many volunteer's that kept me semi-sane over the weekend and of course post the pictures.
What do any of you puter experts suggest??
Remember, my puter abilities are very limited.
If it had spark plugs I'd be O.K.!!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx!

So maybe I am a little slow but what is your question? Do you want to post them so we can all see them or do you just want to keep them for later viewing?

Just wondering,

Russ

Instigator,
Sites like YAHOO.com or WEBSHOTS.com will allow you to build a library of photos and then you can give everyone the link to go and few them there.

If you can scan and mail them to me I can put them up on my site for you until you guys are talking again, along with any commentary or other information you want...

When you save them after scanning, if possible save them as .jpg files. Also you only probably need to scan them in at about 75 or 100 dpi (Dots per inch). Any bigger and they'll take forever for you to send across. That'll be about right to give a good display on screen too.

Cheers

Wanted to do something for everybodies enjoyment with captions for the pictures and ideally a short story.
Planned to do it on the "Rumble on the River" webstite with a link form here but the time was up on the website.
Guess I'm not sure what the options are, and if I'm smart enough to attempt them???
Matt, I appreciatte your offer and may take you up on it.

E-Mail me with everything you want, any text and any details about how you want it laid out etc and I can sort it out pretty quick. Or if you're really going mad, just fedex a copy of the photo's to me and I'll scan them in too so you don't even have to battle with the scanner.

Instigator;

Sounds like Mat has you covered, but you can take your 35mm shots and your flash cards to a major photo place and have them scan and post everything. Adding large captions and organizing like you want will take a little more effort but it sounds like Mat's got it down. Yahoo is really cool, they give 30 meg out free for every ID. I have 3 IDs on Yahoo and they're all loaded. Sell that 35mm, digital is the way to go.

Try Yahoo! It works well and is easy to use. If you go to mine, you'll see a place to begin your own. And by the way, if you go to mine, pay no attention to that big black thing by the garage door! I had to use the 2x4 that was holding up the door, and this was the best thing I had laying around! HeHeHe
