Has anyone ever had Fuel in the air side of the fuel rail? Motor sat for two months while transom was replaced, would not start when it came back. I replaced the air pressure regulator on the port fuel rail and the motor started but was rough and wouldn’t get above 3000 rpm’s. Upon further inspection I have fuel spraying out of the air Schrader valve. The three cylinders on the port side of the motor are flooding and not firing. Any advice would be very appreciated.

I think you called me about this last week. Did you get it sorted out?

No, I installed new fuel pressure regulator and tracker diaphragms, replaced every o-ring and installed a new air pressure regulator with no luck. Going to go through the air compressor but starting to think it may be a crack in the fuel rail.

I'm battling a similar issue as my port motor burns double the fuel around 4500-5000rpms more than Starboard, its definitely going somewhere, swapped fuel rails with hoses, swapped complete VST assembly, swapped TPS and sensors, swapped coil plates, new plugs, also had fuel & air injectors cleaned and flowed, was told nothing wrong with them. I'm lost chasing this Gremlin also :icon_bs:

I mean it is possible, but I haven't seen one in person. This could be a long shot, but I'm wondering if the reeds in the compressor are cracked or chipped, could it be sucking from the air side of the rail, and pulling the fuel with it?

So youve swapped all of that from motor to motor, and the port still burns double? Whats the condition of the motor? Compression / Leakdown? Maybe theres something more going on?

I’ll take a look at the reeds to see if my issue is there, I noticed the fuel is spraying with the compression stokes of the Motor. Would an open air injector allow back flow of fuel from the cylinder?

Probably not back flow of fuel, or much of it, but if compression is going into the rails, its going to mess with the injector pulses and air flow in general. That could definately be causing your problem. Did you try cleaning the air injector tips like we talked about a while back?

Yeah I soaked the tips in power tune and wiped them clean with a microfiber, replaced the O-rings and I left the Teflon seals in place. All of my injectors ohm readings were within spec. I just don’t know if one is stuck open

They could still be stuck, but its tough to tell without testing them.
