3L optimax compressor rebuild
Just purchased a 250 opti with the “updated” compressor. Compressor appeared to be gone and pulled it down to assess. The bearings are fine, the bore is scratched not badly but enough for a machinist to say it probably needs to go slightly oversized.
Does anyone know what piston the 3L optimax compressors use? Or alternatively what sleeve is used? Can buy stock size piston/rings off eBay, so that would also work new sleeve with standard piston.
These compressors are hard to come by these days, just seeing if there is an alternative to buying a new compressor they are hard to come by.
