Nice quality spring. Work good. Stainless. Everything from merc bears the "high performance boating" price tag though.

Who in this world would pay $82 for a damn spring?
I go to the hardware store and buy 3.5" 1/2" dia. extension springs. Not stainless but they work. I only go in fresh water so they last a long time. Salt...maybe that wouldn't be an option.
