No. Not designed to be mixed with gasoline.

Don't see how that is relevant to this thread. You should probably move that comment to the General Boating forum if you wanna talk about using 4 cycle oil in 2 cycle engines.
DFI oil is not designed to be mixed with gas and, therefore, should not be used in premix 2 cycle engines. It also should not be used in typical oil injected 2 cycle engines that mix the oil with the fuel pre-atomization. If you mix some dfi oil in gas and let it sit on the shelf for a month it separates  ...not what you want to happen in your carbs, vst or gas tank.

Spin it how you want .. you stated that DFI oil will not mix with gasoline.

Do you think they stay separate for the entire trip .. ???

Do you think that they found special dinosaur remains and saved it until DFI was invented .. ???

Did you actually try to mix gasoline and DFI oil, or are you just being a parrot for what the advertising on the label says .. ??? Yes, that's what I thought .. :)

Just man-up and say you started typing before you put your mind in gear. ..

Did I recommend using 4 stroke oil in a 2 stroke engine . :nonod: No, I said when I was a kid which has been over 50 years ago .. that's what we had to use. ;)

Many petrochemical engineers say that todays pump grade gasoline is worthless as a high octane fuel in less that two weeks. Most separation occurs with fuels containing Ethanol , which is hydroscopic (absorbs water). Ever heard the phrase that oil and water don't mix .. ??? So your one month analogy, only leaves you in the weeds. If you try to bail yourself out by saying that many boaters leave their gas in the tank for months on end. Keep in mind all oils tend to separate over long periods of time. Maybe some worse than others, but I already gave you the root cause of the problem.
Good news for boaters though, lots of waves out there to stir it back up ..

I vote with 25two, it’s not designed for use as a gasoline mixed oil. As Chaz stated, could it work, maybe, even probably, but normal 2 stroke oil is super cheap, why risk it.
