Why would my remote oil tank in the boat squeeze in on itself like it is under vacuum and not pressure?

Check your hoses to the tank, I believe one goes to the motor mounted oil bag, the other goes to a "thingie" low on the block below the starter. It is supposed to create pressure in the boat mounted tank. My $ .02

Hose with blue stripe goes to the brass Tee port on the engine oil tank that point towards the front of the motor, the all black hose goes to the port on the starboard side under the starter. Does the port pointing towards the pan on the tee off of the engine oil tank go to anything?

Negatory on the brass bottom fitting. Goes nowhere (I believe it has a check ball in it)

Stop the wedding, I lied to you. The 300 may have a gear driven oil pump. Check out this diagram.

The check valve on the engine may have issues. Also I'm not sure if the X had a gear pump or if they went to the electric pump like on the 300XS. either way the oil in the external bag is pressurized, so being sucked in is definitely wrong. sorry for the confusion .... I've got c.r.s.

All 300x models have an electric oil pump. Earlier PM models were mechanical pumps.

Both models had a thingie on the lower starboard side of the block. It is a one way check valve (pressure) that pushes oil from the main tank to the little tank and then to the mouth of either style pump.
As stated, tank to tank transfer is done thru the marked (striped) side hose.

I gotz a canoli' on the check valve fitting being bad ... ;) :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
