New LS 300 Hp why is intake backwards

519952519953Seems it’s the worst for water ingestion especially if a sun pad is used and saltwater drips right on intake like this did . Also those direct injectors require you to remove the cylinder head to pound them out when corrosion rusted them off

As far as the injectors go, have you tried something like this tool? Or don't you have access?

i would think it is to get "carb" noise out of the passenger compartment. and a bigger "visor" over the throttle body may help. but the sun pad is not supposed to pour water on the motor. hard to blame the motor for that. mine did a zillion years ago. dripped on intake. intake gasket leak let it fill the rear cyls with water. bent a rod into an S curve.

Yes it’s a direct injector but it started missing so when it was brought in to service nothing to grab have to remove intake and heads he’ll of a annual service with engine removed
