Offiicial kilo runs at loto 2023

We should see some real big numbers this year LOTO is going to do official KILO runs .No limit on speed entering traps and have to back it up the other way in 15 minutes .Should help the big boys get up to speed but it will be more dangerous.

I wonder how long of a run-up they are going to have. I believe they normally have a few miles to get up to speed for the timed kilo run. Could see some really high speeds.

Dont know how long the run up is but course will be .62 mile instead of 3/4 mile .The kilo course i ran years ago had a long run up a couple miles I think.

This should be pretty interesting I hope they can have a good number of boats participate in the event. i wonder if the electric ob cat will come back and try to set an official record. It would be cool to some of the manufacturers coming out trying to set some records like they used to do

They are only allowing professionals and only 2 hours of time for runs on Sunday .

Do IT, how fast are you going now, ask JoeP for trial props;) It's sure getting expensive to go fast, I can't Imagine spending $5,000 for one prop

112 is my unicorn pass with -250ft DA and no weight running on fumes, 105 is my normal with weight at 2500-3000ft DA. I heard it can be a bit rough for a small boat though, and I can run a solid 80+ in a bit of slop. If Tuff is going I will be there for sure, even if it is just to check it out and watch.

That is a better way to record a speed run. A two way average for a speed reading will not make everyone participating happy. Some guys speeds will come down.

Its a better way to set records. The momentary fly peak speed becomes irrelevant.

Yes two way average . There are lots of VRBO houses for rent and if you want to be centrally located Osage Beach has several mom and pop hotels and the chain hotels also.You also must go grocery shopping at Dierbergs in Osage only grocery store I have ever been to with a bar/rest on top floor overlooking the lake.Dont worry honey I will grab the groceries might take a while.

Anyone can run the rest of the weekend .Just a pretty simple registration and tech inspection and you can buy extra runs if there is time .And it is not flat water has some chop and even a small wake or 2 and then the wind can come for different directions

If you can find a VRBO near Camden it has a lot of night acation. But you will need a car and there are always pontoons to rent.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. The Kilo is a real speed measure. Two way average negates any help with current, wind, momentary spike in speed. I suspect people will tout their higher single pass and dismiss the average speed or just prefer their radar number. Radar is more rewarding.
