Has anyone got any information on Syndicate Boats? I am looking at this O/B hydro for my Merc 1500XS, but unable to find any info on it. Title says 1985 Syndicate.515938515939515940

I had one a few years back....for a brief time. I put an 150XS on it and was the worst handling boat I ever had. The bottom riding surface, at least on the one I had was rounded. I think it should have been flat. It was almost a 3 point hydro except for the bottom. I believe I ran a cleaver on it. The damn thing would roll side to side at over a 45* angle when you got to speed. It sure looked cool, but I think like a short shaft Stinger or maybe an 85XS would be about it for motor. Good luck. Get yourself a Switzer SuperSport for that XS.

When say bottom was rounded, do you mean side to side or front to back like a rocker? This boat looks to have a 15-18" flat "pad" at the rear. I am actually looking for a boat to install my 1500XS on.

The one I had was rounded side to side, not a rocker with NO flat pad or flat riding surface. There’s a guy on the website “Fiberglassics “ he’s in Wisconsin and has some Switzer’s for sale. I’ve had both, the Syndicate is cool looking but a sh#@ boat. Switzers all the way with an inline.

I just noticed you’re in New Mexico, at first glance I thought it was Minnesota.

Thanks for the insight. At least I know more now, than I did. Still trying to decide if I want to put this XS on a boat, or sell it. I really don't need another boat, but would be nice to have a plaything to harass the jet boaters. :D

Glad you replied. I had never heard of Syndicate boats let alone see one. Who made them and where? Search on internet led me to Austailia

An Allison 15r would work quite nicely
