Todd D said they will introducing two new Offshore outboard race class in the US that they race Europe, with no GPS rules, one class is single engine V bottom and a single engine Cat class, Wicked boats is working on producing a new 24 ft outboard Cat to compete in said class.
The present single outboard class has GPS breakout rules.

Twister Argo Todds Wicked 225hp encloed for cat like c-3 in Europe
Break outspeed, If you go over the set speed limit ouch, not real racing in my book.
Everyone is given a GPS then checked after the race to check If you went over the set seed limit for that class.
The single outboard class that has been racing is a GPS class.

GPS…basically bracket racing. Thanks
Kinda like the old Class 1 with bigger motor?
I believe they are limited to 225 HP, which in this day and age is puny...
In 1979 I was running a 225 because that was the big motor at the time
It would be cool If they chamged that to 300HP,
I believe you can go as large as 26 feet, so a 26 ft V boat with a 225 would be slow
Those rules I bet were made long ago, times change folks, time to tweek the rules...

The c-3 Twisters/ Argo and a few more are running 200XS in Europe class record with 2 on board is 110 not so slow.

Tuff 24 pleasure boat went 98 a few years back with a 250 Rude. I would think a purpose built V under 26ft could be dangerously fast on a race course with 225 prop hp.
I was thinking the 450R for power?

Like I said a 26 V bottom with a 225 would be slow
Your Twister and Argo are in a whole another class, what is the bare hull weight ?
I don't know of any American made boat that would be competitive with a Twister / Argo , what is your tunell width, your sponsons are on the narrow side I believe so
even more packed air.
These are 2.5 morters correct, lower torque.

Yes the 26 vee may not be much in speed numbers but if it is open and no speed limit that is a plus. Todds boat will run with the Twister's ans Argo's and the weight in Europe is around 1600lbs I think for that class with canopies.
Break outspeed, If you go over the set speed limit ouch, not real racing in my book.
Chaz = thinkin, I'd like to see CRUM keep the throttle to the wood in 6' (Lil jimmie, thats six feet) sea's .... Pppffftttttttt
Once again .. so out of touch with reality ..
