Was thinking about getting a binary trigger for my Ar-15. Anyone using one? Seems Echo or Franklin are the two top choices. Want to grab one before they go on the Atf's by by list.

I have one but never put it in. I do not think I need it unless just having fun. I have an AR as a "yard gun". Gearing up to take out some "yotes". I have a thermal scope on order. Already have a suppressor, compensator, etc. I also have a friend that is a deer processor... So a 5 gallon full of bait (guts) is easy to come by.
I made one for my Mini 14. Took a piece of banding strap, cut it down, bent a curve in it, and took a wet rock to get it right. It went between the firing and interrupt scear.

Ammo's too expensive for binary triggers. :p
Get a good trigger and head to the range.
I have 3 different triggers: a JP Fire Control kit w/yellow JP springs, Alexander Arms w/stock AA hammer spring+yellow JP trigger spring and just got a Geissele Super Tricon. All 3 are great triggers.
Unfortunately the Alexander Arms trigger is now discontinued.:(

Thanks guy's
I have shot the Binary and a FRT, prefer the FRT.
Both will eat the excess green in your wallet quickly :D

I just looked at them. So what is the big deal? It does not make it full auto, does it? I see it requires a full auto carrier, a heavy buffer, and then it is not a guaranteed deal without "some tuning". $380 just for the trigger group, less other parts.
For that much money, I would think it would have a lighter trigger pull than 5 pounds.
Timney has a comp trigger group with skelentonized trigger and 3 pound pull for $120 cheaper.
Oh, and if I though I wanted a binary trigger, better go a head and get one.
Mine is a Franklin Armory. It does have a three position selector switch on the safety to single fire mode and next to binary mode.
Hell I am thinking about buying another. 270 bucks is cheaper than I paid for mine.

For the .22lr guys. I've been getting norma-tac lately for 6.5 cents a round. Seems to be more accurate than cheap eley or cci-sv. Norma runs sales a few times a year, free shipping. Texas ammo has some also, but shipping is a bear. They just happen to be right down the road, so I do local pickup.513673

What is sad is I used to do that with wildcats with an occasional flyer. Good cheap ammo days are gone forever I guess. RR

Not much cheap these days. At least it's been available. More than I can say about finding reloading components for my centerfire stuff.
Those targets are from a savage b22. The same norma ammo shoots quite a bit better out of my buddys cz457 with a lilja barrel.

Crazy accurate guns these days. Funny though I built a 10/22 30 years ago with a cheap Butler Creek barrel that would shoot with most anything back then. Once in a while you stumble across a cheap setup that just loves anything you feed it. Have a 40 year old $65 Marlin semi that still stacks em. RR
