Visual Difference between analog and digital ecu

One box has just the main harness wire while the other has the harness wire and 2 more wires. The harness only box is 14632A17 the other with the 2 extra wire is 824003A17. If the second is digital can I get a chip for it? Picture is the 824003A17 box513295

2 wire is for a ddt plugin to check the parameters.

According to the chart, it's a 96/97 225 ProMax box.

It was from a 97 225 promax. Do the ddt plugins mean its digital? If it is can it be chipped

It says it has a PROM, so in theory "yes" but some were "potted" and can't be removed. ???

I would probably call Brucato and ask about it, they are very helpful.

I don't know if ddt means its digital. I've wondered the same thing. I never seen an analogue one with the plugin, so my best guess from what I've seen in my life the ddt plug DOES mean its digital. However, just cause its digital does not mean it can be re-programmed. Best thing you can do is try to pop the cover off and see if it has a removable chip. If it does then you can put a new chip (fuel curve) in it. If its all potted then it probably cannot be changed or re-written. I believe the only potted chips that could be over-wrote were the thin body race 2.5/2.0 ecus. Thats what I have been told/seen. Many people know more than me about ecus though. All I do is test them and tune the ones that can be tunes.

The 823004 would be the cummins ecu single board
You cannot remove anything unless desoldering
