thinks of buying vevor hydrolic steering for my hydrostream hst running a 300x anyone have any exsperiance with vevor any good???? thanks steve

That looks like (or a copy of) the Seastar/Hynautic system... that one has a note saying:


Not recommended for boats that exceed 75 mph or run surface piercing props or the power exceeds the maximum Coast Guard rating for the vessel.

Personally, with that kind of power I would not chance cheeping out on your steering.

SeaStar Pro for that kind of power

Proper steering is not a "nice to have" it's a "must have". Seastar or Ultraflex are what I'd look at. Both have hipo options.

If you have the choice, I'd highly recommend Uflex. I've had several sea star and a couple uflex. Uflex is a tighter system.

I kinda agree.

I have both and Ultraflex is better. They seem to also constantly improve there stuff. I have not checked prices on the two lately to see how they compare.

Seastar works. It sucks. Most of the time its what you have to deal with. Price is reasonable and it works ok. Uflex or the new square pro seastar rams are far better, but the basic seastar works fine up to 100 mph
